Executive profiles – Keith Angell has been a C-Level executive and Board Director at 12 VC/PE backed, high growth tech companies (3 IPO, 6 Acq). Keith is an experienced CEO, Board Director, and Leader who focuses on optimizing enterprise value for customers, employees and stakeholders.
As CEO of West Shore Partners, Keith takes CEO, Executive Chairman, or Director roles to help lead VC/PE backed companies to successful value creation. Previously, as CEO of Pythian Services (Mill Point Capital portfolio company), Keith directed the premiere data & analytics services company in the world. Prior to Pythian, Keith was CEO of Velocity Technology (Silver Lake portco), Keith directed the leading global cloud managed services company, specializing in moving complex enterprise IT/ERP+ to the hybrid cloud. As a Board Director at ECI (HIG portco), Keith helped lead a doubling of revenue and tripling of EBITDA in 3 years.
Prior to Pythian and Velocity, Keith was President, Global Services at Virtustream, where he was responsible for Cloud Managed and Professional Services. Virtustream was acquired by EMC in 2015. Before Virtustream, Keith spent 9 years as an executive in IBM's Global Cloud & Technology Services, including Vice President, Cloud Managed Services, and Chief Revenue Officer at SoftLayer. Angell managed much of IBM’s services portfolio and had key technology experiences in cloud, mobility, analytics, and networking. Keith held executive positions in US & Europe, including business development, M&A, sales, & product offering activities.
Keith came to IBM through IBM’s acquisition of Corio, an applications services provider, where Keith was SVP, Worldwide Sales & Marketing. Before Corio, Keith held CEO, COO, President, SVP of Operations & Sales roles at 4 software/services & consulting firms. He started his career in the management development program at Exxon Corp.
Keith holds BS Engineering magna cum laude (Duke), MS Engineering (Northeastern) & MBA Finance (LSU) degrees, holds two patents, & splits time between east & west US coasts.
